Ted was born June 19, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Alfred Vadnais and LaVerne Behling Vadnais. He was raised and attended school in Kilgore, graduating from Clark County High School. On November 21, 1958, he married Clysta Madge Young in Rexburg. They were blessed with 3 children.
Ted worked on the family ranch, drove semi-trucks for Ready to Pour and ran his feed lot in Hamer until he retired. He also worked on the Sheridan Ranch in Kilgore and Flying R Cattle Ranch in Island Park. Ted was a rodeo teacher at West Jefferson High School. He loved riding broncs and teaching young cowboys how to ride. He enjoyed his involvement with Clark County Rodeo, camping, and hanging out with friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Tedina Mains of Blackfoot, sister, Elna Gibbs, of Pocatello, brothers, Charles R. (Sharon) Vadnais, of Hamer, Ed (Donna) Vadnais, of Rigby, grandchildren L.T. (Vanessa) Mains, Clyst (Michael) Mains, and great-grandchildren, Baylie Mains and Kaleb Mains.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons, Marty Lawrence Vadnais, Marvin Alfred Vadnais, sisters, Maxine, Lois, Barbara, Elnore, Dorothy, Shirley, Ailene and brother, Tom.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the West Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
