SHAWNEE, Okla. — Modell (Cooper) Brock, 73, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, in Shawnee.

She was born Dec. 8, 1937, to Robert Earl Cooper and Vera Vinita (Sanders) Cooper. Modell was born and raised in Asher, where she raised her family. She graduated from Asher High School in 1956 and married Jack Brock July 20, 1987.

She moved to Tecumseh later in life and has lived there ever since. She owned and operated Vinita's Clothesline in Tecumseh. Modell loved her family. They were the focal point of her life. She took pride in her children and their accomplishments. She attended every event in which they were involved. Modell loved her friends and church family. She enjoyed teaching others.

She was preceded in death by her husband June 17, 2001; mother and father; two brothers, James "Baldy" Cooper and Bill Cooper.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Tom "Terp" Cooper and Ruth (Snodgrass) Cooper, of Seminole; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Cooper) Newell and Jim L. Newell, of Jefferson, Texas, Celeste (Cooper) and D.W. "Red" Barnes, of Asher; one sister, Jenean Cooper, of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Jean (West) Cooper, of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Judy (Freeman) Cooper, of Mountainburg, Ark.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike K. Qualls and Verna (Newcomb) Qualls, of Tecumseh, Jimmy W. Qualls and Kim (Ray) Qualls, of Ft. Smith, and Tracey L. Qualls and Lori (Forrester) Qualls, of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, MaDonna (Qualls) Ellis and James W. Ellis, of Tecumseh, and Renee (Bebo) Knox and Steve R. Knox, of Nichols Hills; grandchildren, Stephani R. (Qualls) Renfro, John M. Qualls, Heather N. Qualls, Emily A. Qualls, Lily R. Knox, Skylar M. Qualls, Chloe E. Qualls, Brighton I. Qualls, Charlize L. Qualls and Brady M. Qualls; great-grandchildren, Sunny R. Renfro and Anna R. Renfro; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Newell of Thompson Heights Church of Christ officiating.
