Lonnie was born on Aug 18, 1926 in Duncan to John McKinley & Effie E (Sparks) Qualls. He died Wednesday, Jan 15, 2014 in Sulphur, at the age of 87 years 4 months and 27 days. Lonnie and Patty (Hudson) Rose were married on Aug 6, 1982 in Ada.

On Feb 20, 1945, Lonnie was drafted into the US Navy and served during WWII. After being discharged in Aug of 1946, he returned home, completing his high school education at Fox. Lonnie spent his entire life farming, particularly in Poultry and egg production. He was a member of the Oklahoma Egg Council, which gave him the opportunity to do guest speaking with others throughout the state, as well as, with students at Oklahoma State University. Other memberships included the Church of Christ and the Elks. Lonnie was an avid golfer and enjoyed every moment he could on the golf course.

Survivors include his wife Patty; one daughter, MaDonna Ellis of Tecumseh; three sons, Mike Qualls of Tecumseh, Jimmy Qualls of Ft Smith, AR and Tracey Qualls of Bella Vista, AR; four step-daughters, Carla Milligan of Kingston, Sandy Herring of Davis, Sherry Hembry of Yukon and Shelia Porterfield of Lewisville, KY; one step-son, Billy Joe Vineyard of Stonewall; one sister, Jo Guinn of Ada; two brothers, Kenneth Qualls of Byars and Jerry Qualls of Colleyville, TX; as well as 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mildred Altom & Melba Stepp; and two brothers, Leroy & JC Qualls.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike, Tracey, John, Lance, Jimmy & Skylar Qualls.
