Annie Mountcastle Hale, 88, of Ferrum, Va., died Thursday, January 13, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vergie Ferguson Mountcastle; husband, Roy C. Hale; son, Noah Hale; daughter, Ruth Mills; and sisters, Vergie Gamble and Blanche Mountcastle. Surviving are her daughter, Betty Brown; granddaughter, Susan Brown and Donna Keaton; grandsons, Jackie Hale and Ford Brown; nieces and nephews, A.J. and Barbara Shively, Goldie and Jimmy Hale, Tina and Harrison Hall, Lee and Laura Griffith, Margaret Chaney, Susan and Leon Ingram, Lloyd and Beulah Ingram. Funeral services will be conducted from Evangelistic House of Prayer 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountcastle Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Evangelistic House of Prayer, 785 Rambling Rose Road, Ferrum, Va. 24088. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home, 664 Rambling Rose Road, Ferrum. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
