Mrs. Imogene Parker Bentley, age 80, of Muscadine, Alabama, passed away January 18, 2019.

She was born March 6, 1938, in Oak Level, Alabama, to the late Ulysses and Hazel Laminack Parker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bentley.

Imogene was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was very active in the community. She was also an avid reader. She loved her family and took care of them until the very end. She retired from Sewell’s Manufacturing as a Supervisor and retired from the United States Postal Service as a Postmistress.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Verne Webb, of Muscadine; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffery Bentley, of Muscadine and Richard and Lisa Bentley, of Tallapoosa; four grandchildren, Chris Bentley, Matthew Webb, Jonathan Webb, and Shane Bentley; six great grandchildren, Courtney Bentley, Natalie Bentley, Charlee Bentley, Katana Bentley, Henry Webb, and Levi Webb; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cookie and Claude McWhorter, June and Larry Attison, all of Fruithurst, Myna and Emil Bowman, of Muscadine; and a brother and sister-in-law, Rayford and Linda Parker, of Cedartown, GA.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 3:00PM EST at Bethel United Methodist Church in Muscadine, AL with Rev Tommy Ledbetter and Rev. Bill Tribble officiating. Music will be provided by Valarie Davis and Cathy Norton.

Pallbearers serving will be Chris Bentley, Matthew Webb, Jonathan Webb, Keith Sheffield, Dennis Bentley, and Bryan Bentley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Bentley and Claude McWhorter.

Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00PM EST.
