Services for Hazel L. Parker, 85, of Fruithurst were held March 8 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Elder Neal Prichard and the Revs. Wayne Pike and John Childs officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Parker's granddaughter Valarie McWhorter.

Burial followed in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Miller Funeral Home of Tallapoosa, Ga., was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Parker died March 6.

She was born Feb. 22, 1917, in Cleburne County to the late Luther and Lee Nelson Laminack.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ulysses Parker, a son Randall Parker, a daughter Helen Chadwick, son-in-law Bill Bentley and three grandchildren, Darrell Chadwick, Nina Hutchison and Johnny McGinnis.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rayford and Linda Parker; a daughter Imogene Bentley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Myna and Emil Bowman, Cookie and Claude McWhorter, and June and Larry Attison; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Laminack of Heflin and a sister, Marie Pruitt of Cedartown, Ga.

Pallbearers were Jeffery Bentley, Richard Bentley, Michael Chadwick, Jarrod Parker, Luke Bowman, Jeff Attison, Chris Bentley, Matthew Webb and Jonathan Webb.
