On May 26, 1951 in Picayune, Mississippi, she married Hyrem Wilkin "Buddy" Bounds, who was born May 11, 1929.
Ann and Buddy are the parents of Dane Bounds of Hammond, Louisiana, Skye Alexie, Stephanie Bennett, and Julie Bounds of Poplarville, Mississippi. She and her husband ran several small businesses. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served as missionaries for the church in Arizona and Arkansas.
Ann passed away on September 20, 2007 after a long struggle with diabetes, atherosclerosis, and the effects of a car accident in December of 1998. She is survived by her husband, four children, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one sister Madie Ray Gipson of Poplarville as well as numerous nephews, nieces and in-laws.
