Vada Thornton Davis, 77, of Salt Lake City, died February 4, 1990, in a local hospital from complications following a recent operation.
Born May 3, 1912, in Holden, Millard County, Utah, to Squire William and Minnie Bottomfield Thornton. Married Darwin Simmons, 1930, they had a daughter, Eleanor. They were later divorced. Married Erton Ray Davis, 1932. He died October 10, 1957.
Survived by five children, Eleanor Shay, Salt Lake City; Bobbie and husband, Tom Sheehan, Las Vegas, Nevada; June and husband, Richard Shuster, Sun City, California; Buddy and Rosa Davis, Alexandria, Alabama; Earl and Emma Davis, Salt Lake City; five brothers and sister, Vern and Eleanor Thornton, Gardena, California; Fontella and husband James Winter, Covina, California; Maxon Thornton, Fillmore; Wayne Thornton, Lake Point; Wanda and Clarence Erspamre, West Valley City; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two infant daughters, three brothers, two sisters.
