Ancestry: list that his parents are Samuel F. and Catherine Lewis but their son Fred is buried in the sames cemetery as they are so these can not be his parents. If any one has information on his parents please let me know. Thank you.

Fred E. Lewis, retired engineer who had lived in Pacific Grove for the past 23 years, died Saturday afternoon at a Salinas hospital after a long illness. He was 69 years old.

A native of Iowa, Mr. Lewis made his home at 140 Third street. He was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. Lewis leaves the following children: Mrs. C. L. Stevens of San Luis Obispo, Edwin E. Lewis, who is now serving with the Navy, and Mrs. Grace Sweet, John A. Lewis, Anna Mae Lewis, Edna C. Lewis and Fredrick H. Lewis, all of whom are living on the Monterey Peninsula.

Military services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Paul Mortuary chapel with the Rev. Elwood Hunter officiating. Burial will be in El Carmelo cemetery.
