Amy Andrews of Monroe, a retired registered nurse and a lifelong resident of the area, died November 23, 2010, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. She was 84 years of age.
The daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (nee Crotty)McLaughlin, she was born January 24, 1926 in Monroe.
Amy was a parishioner of St. Anastasia's R.C. Church. She graduated from St. Francis Nursing School in 1947 and had a long career of dedicated service to the sick at Falkirk Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. She was fiercely devoted to the great loves of her life: her parents, her husband, her children and grandchildren.
Amy was the widow of Titus Andrews. She is survived by her children, Joyce Andrews of Monroe, and Kathryn Andrews Laskaris of Goshen. Her grandchildren, Christina Marie and Andrew John Laskaris also survive her. She was predeceased by her nephew, Spencer "Mike" McLaughlin.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anastasia Parish R.C. Church, 21 N. Main St., Harriman, NY. Interment of cremains will follow the Mass in the family plot located in Seamanville Cemetery, Monroe.
