GREENSBORO - Mrs. Bonnie Lou Love Barbee, 79, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Beacon Place. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, and the Rev. Mark Sink will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at Oakwood City Cemetery, 461 N. Church St., Concord.
Mrs. Barbee was born in Union County, on May 11, 1931, to the late Charles Grady Love and Grace Deese Tyson. She was married to the late James Morton Barbee and a member of Lankford Memorial Baptist Church. She was always happy and loved helping other people, animals, working in her yard and shoes. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Barbee is survived by her daughter, Vickie Maness, of Greensboro; mother, Grace Tyson, of Concord; sisters, Louise Lowder, of Oakboro, Juanita Almond, Betty Maxwell and husband, Bill, all of Concord; stepsister, Dixie Huneycutt, of Oakboro; granddaughters, Ashley Manley and husband, Shane, of Reidsville, and Tammy Walker and husband, Trip, of Julian; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Chase and Carter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lankford Memorial Baptist Church, 3708 Yanceyville St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
