FUNERAL OF MRS. ADDICOTT HELD AT PACIFIC GROVE

The funeral of Mrs. Ruth Addicott, wife of Professor James Addicott of this city and daughter of W. H. Oliver of Pacific Grove was held at Pacific Grove Sunday afternoon, interment being in El Carmelo Cemetery.

Mrs. Addicott passed away at a sanitarium in San Francisco last Friday. The remains were shipped to Pacific Grove Sunday morning. Rev. P. S. Williams of Pacific Grove who several years ago officiated at her wedding conducted the single funeral service at the grave. Many friends who knew Mrs. Addicott in her girlhood days were present. Besides her husband, four children survive her.

According to the 1900 Census, she was married to James in 1898. Her birth is recorded as Sept. 1877 in California. They were living in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California.

She is dead on the 1910 Census. Her mother is living with her husband and helping to take care of her four children: Irwin, Helen, Edwin and Hazel.

There is a death record for a Ruth Addicott in San Francisco County -- September 3, 1909.

Her husband, James Edwin Addicott was born February 23, 1869 in England and died in Santa Clara County, California on March 22, 1957 at the age of 88. His mother's maiden name was Venn.
