She was born March 13, 1929 in Honey Creek Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Charles and Madge Catt York.
She married Glen W. Benson April 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death Aug. 10, 1997. She was also preceded by her parents; three brothers, Charles Jr., Eugene, and Carl York; and three sisters, Rut Short, Maxine Lawhead, and Judy York.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Boden, Sharon Campbell, and Sheila Mikeworth; two sons, Terry and Dennis Benson; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two broters Joseph and Paul York; a sister, Linda Nale; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine.
Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery rural Palestine.
