Anna Asbe, 94, of Kanawha, died Monday (July 2, 1990) at the Clarion Care Center, Clarion. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, Kanawha. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Kanawha. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ewing Funeral. Chapel. Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine Tesdahl, Clarion; and one son, Howard Asbe, Vallejo, Calif.

Funeral services for Anna Harriett Asbe, 94, were held July 5 at the Kanawha Lutheran Church in Kanawha, Iowa. Rev. James Mattson officiated. Burial was in Norway Township Cemetery, Kanawha.
Anna Asbe passed away Monday, July 2, 1990 at the Clarion Care Center. Anna, the daughter of Hans and Lena Nervig Sampson, was born February 29, 1896 at Morris, Illinois. She received her education in Wright County. On May 29, 1918 she was united in marriage with Henry Asbe in Wright County. The couple farmed in Wright County, then moved to a farm in Clear Lake. After Henry passed away, Anna continued to farm until 1946 when she retired and moved to Kanawha. Anna became a resident of the Clarion Care Center in 1984.
She was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church and was active in the women's organizations of the church.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry, who passed away in 1929; three brothers, Silas, Archie and Bernie. Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine Tesdahl of Clarion; one son, Howard Asbe of Vallejo, CA; one sister, Carrie and her husband, Lismore Stole of Clarion; one brother Lyle and his wife, Jeanette Sampson of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
