He was born June 21,1898 in Warrensburg ,Mo son of Warrick Price and Mary Eliza (Doak) Burriss.
Mr. Burriss was a retired Factory Woker , a Carpenter and Antique Dealer.
Survivors include his wife Sarah Katherine of the home;four sons Richard Burriss , Independence,Mo. ; William Stanton Burriss , Florida ; John and James Burriss both of Lincoln , Mo. ; three daughters,Marie Conyers,Carol Kay Wiegand and Jerri Jean Eaves all of Excelsior Springs , Mo. ; one sister, Ina Atkins, Warrensburg, Mo. ; and nine gradchildren.
Funeral services will be held at p.m. Saturday May 7,1983 at the Fred Davis and Son Funeral Home in Lincoln, Mo. with the rev Philip Turner officiating.
Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg,Mo.
Friends may call anytime until the time of the service at the funeral home.
