Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Thursday in the Pifer Funeral Home in Punxsutawney for Edith M. Mitchell, Frostburg, who died April 6,1976 in the Adrian Hospital, Services will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Eddinger officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Frostburg.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Thomas Mitchell; three daughters: Mrs. Betty Niel Smith, Brunsweels, Ohio; Mrs. Deborah Cunningham, Broadview Hts, Ohio; Mrs. Susan Hollis, Frostburg; three sons:Thomas Niel, Augusta, Michigan; David Mitchell, Brookville; Dennis Mitchell, Punxsutawney; one step-daughter, Mrs. Joyce Zufall; four step-sons:Thomas H., Ronald G , Elmer and Marvin Mitchell; one sister, Mrs. Claude Burkett, Wyandotte, Mich; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mitchell was born August 12, 1918 in Coolspring, the daughter of Lawson and Verba Kunselman. She was married to Thomas Mitchell and had been a resident of this area her entire life.
