Isabelle Salvina Michaels, daughter of Lars and Inger Halverson, was born October 2, 1895, near St. Ansgar, and died in the hospital at Iowa City on October 7, 1928, at the age of thirty three years and five days.

She was baptized by the Rev. Olsen and confirmed by the Rev. Waldeland.

In the year 1923 she was united in marriage to B.F. Michaels. To this union a son, LaVerne, was born.

Mrs. Michales had not been well since she contracted influenza early this spring. The first part of July she suffered a severe heart attack and on the 15th of August she was removed to Iowa City where she passed away.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her son, her father, Lars Halverson, three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. E.E. Jaques of Fort Dodge, Mrs. R.K. Piper of Malvern, Iowa, Mrs. Joe Libersky and Charles Halverson of St. Ansgar, and Sever Halverson of Carpenter. Her mother, one sister and two brothers have preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 10th, at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

There were present from away to attend the funeral Mr. and Mrs. R.K. Piper of Malvern, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Jaques of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Olaus Swain of Zumbrota, Minnesota.
