John lived in Scottsdale, AZ for several years. He had been an Ann Arbor resident for over 20 years. He was a member of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Ann Arbor Moose Lodge #1253 and Senior Citizen Guild. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Survivors inclued his wife Charolotte (Lindner) Hambleton; one brother, Ronald Hambleton of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Katherine Collingwood of Ann Arbor; three step-children, James F. and Thomes E. Lindner and Carole Wheeler; two neices, Claudia Deatrick and Joyce Whitten.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine Henrietta "Bud" (Rice), brothers, Miles Morgan Hambleton and Willard Arthur Hambleton.
