(July 11, 1959 - June 13, 2010)
Rebecca Ann "Becky" Wilcox Cockrum, 50, was called to our Lord June 13, 2010. Becky was born July 11, 1959 and was raised in Georgetown by parents Daniel Kennie and Dorothy Louise Wilcox. After moving to Billings, MT then to Cherokee, TX Becky and family moved back to Georgetown in 2006. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. Becky had a love of all things in nature and was an active member of the African Violet Society. Her devotion and passion led to the hybrid of new species for which she will forever be remembered.
Becky's strongest devotion, however, was to the church and she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Georgetown. Her faith in the Lord was strong and unwavering all the way up until the very end.
Becky will be remembered as a generous woman who had a smile and loving word for everyone who crossed her path. Always armed with an ever ready laugh and warm embrace, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Becky is survived by father Kennie Wilcox of Georgetown; daughter Ashley Cockrum and son Jeff Cockrum, both of Georgetown; son Kenneth Davenport and daughter in law Heather Davenport of Seguin,TX; son Byron Davenport of Billings, MT; and granddaughter Amber Davenport of Billings, MT; along with many distant relatives and friends who were all family in her eyes.
She was preceded in death by mother Dorothy Louise Wilcox of Georgetown and son David Davenport of Billings, MT.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
