Addie B. Phillips

ADA - Mrs. Addie Belle Phillips, 81, of Ada, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at her residence of a heart attack. She had been ill for several months.

She was born Feb. 6, 1878 in Alger, the daughter of Rev. Lemuel and Florence (Bambury) Rice. She was married to Cecil O. Stiles, who preceded her in death. She was married to John Phillips April 3, 1947. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Stanley Stiles and Thoburn Stiles, both of Detroit; a brother, Dale Rice of Menton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Preston Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Teller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Friends may call at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the heart fund.
