America spent the early years of her life summering in "Tent City"; the historical outdoor city south of the Hotel del Coronado, on the Strand at Coronado California. She graduated from Our Lady of Peace Academy of San Diego, and attended San Diego State University until she was swept off her feet by the dashing young 'Annapolis Man' in uniform, Ensign Francis Raymond Molitor, USN.
Mrs. Aileen Jackson announced the marriage of America Aileen to Francis Raymond Molitor, on Sunday, the 12th of April 1942, at St Joan of Arc Church, Las Vegas Nevada. Joy and sadness co-mingled at the affair. It was a festive event, yet dampened by the awareness that the groom had already received his orders for overseas shipboard duty.
America was a warm loving mother, and a busy one, having birthed 6 children in her eleven years of marriage. Her infant son, Tony, preceeded her in death and her infant daughter, Margaret, accompanied her in death.
