Additional information from Alex Colvin (#46784803):
Greetings: A bit of clarification if I may:
Lamar Colvin b. 20 July 1895, Fauquier County, (son of Alpheous Benton Colvin (1839-1895) and Mary Washington Oliver (1846 - ??) m. Hestelle "Hettie" Heflin 14 February 1905 in Fauquier County. Lamar d. 1930, Fauquier County. Lamar and Hettie can be found as husband and wife from 1910-1930 in the Fauquier County census, and in the 1940 census, Hettie is shown as a widow. Hettie is sometimes confused with Nellie Estelle Colvin (1894-1975)who is actually a cousin of her husband. Nellie's FAG # is 8005079. Nellie m. Carol Benton Heflin (1891-1952) 15 June 1909 in Fauquier County. His FAG # is 8005045 Lamar Colvin has no FAG memorial...yet. He was interred in the Colvin Cemetery at Catlet, although he has no headstone there. However, a 2004 survey of the cemetery shows he was identified as being interred there according to family Bibles reviewed by the surveyor. Please post this note if you believe it will help.
Very kind regards,
A. Colvin

Additional information from Rebecca Richardson (#49037943):
According to the note provided about Hettie Heflin's marriage to Lamar Colvin. It states that Lamar Colvin was born in 1895, but that would make him 10 years old at his marriage to Hettie. I look up his records and it states on his WWI draft card that he was born in 1885.
