Suzanna (Nagy) Nogradi came on
Ship Ultonia arriving 14 Nov. 1906.
It took them over 1 month on ship to get
to New York.
At arrival Terezia age 2 got
very sick. They were quaranteened at
Ellis Island for sometime. Theresa died
shortly thereafter.

NOTE:
Can't imagine the hardship being
on a ship for 1 month with a 2yr old &
a 2 month old baby.
WHAT COURAGE IT TOOK.

Nick & Theresa had 4 children:
1.Theresa Jr.
2.Julianna Theresa (Julie)
3.Helen
4.Nick Jr.
5.Louis
Also 1 miscarriage.
NOTE:
Theressa had a miscarage with #6 child.
She died of complications.

Julia was only 9 yrs old at the time.
She told of " having to stand on a box
to cook," as she couldn't reach the
stove. She had to care for her sibblings,
cook, clean, and go to school too.

Her Dad remarried but the stepmom was
very mean to children, especially Julia.

NAGY- Entered inot rest Monday afternoon
October 27, 1924. Nick Nagy, of
Fairmont City, Il. at the age of
45 yrs, 11 months, 29 days. He leaves to
mourn his loss his wife, Lydia Nagy.
2 Daughters Julia & Helen Nagy
2 Sons Nick & Louis. Funeral will be
held at 20.p.m.

from
Hungarian Presbyterian Church 10th & Trendley
Ave. to Mt. Hope Cemetary. Linder has charge.
