Mrs. Mabel Murphy Patterson died at her home in the north part of this county December 19. Her illness was brief, and she leaves her husband, Rex Patterson doubly bereaved. She leaves besides him, her parents, three sisters and two brothers to mourn one who had lived a life of devotion to duty, kind and affectionate. She was married January 29, 1905, and the brief married life had resulted in a happy home now broken. Mrs. Patterson came to Iowa with her parents from Rantoul, Illinois when seven years of age, and died aged 21 years, 5 months, 14 days. Her funeral was held on the 20th and her remains placed in Fremont cemetery.
