Bessie Marie Anderson Benson, passed away September 29, 2001 at Aurora Manor Care Center in Aurora. She was born March 24, 1904 in Big Rock, IL to David H. and Lettie H. (nee Wells) Thomas.
Bessie lived most of her life in the Kaneville area moving to Batavia in the 1940's. She married Arnold Edger Anderson, March 3, 1926 and then Axel Julius Benson on September 2, 1972.
She is survived by her two children, Thomas A. Anderson of Batavia, Evelyn M. (Robert) Keller of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Richard A. Anderson, Toni M. Keller-Brien, Dave L. (Jennifer) Keller and Tom L. (Brenda) Keller; ten great grandchildren, Holly M. (Steven) Anderson-Kaames, Chad R. (Emily) Anderson, Douglas R. (Ramioh) Brien, Dennis R. (Sansa) Brien, Laura M. Brien, Shawnda L. Keller-Marmorstein, Wesley M. Keller, Preston T. Keller, Brandon L. Keller; five great great grandchildren, Mattew S. Kammes, Michael A. Kammes, Nicholas I. Kammes, Lillian C. Brien and Hanna L. Marmorstein.
Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL.
Services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Stoner will officiate, burial will be held at Kaneville Cemetery in Kaneville, Illinois.
