John Robert Hargrave Jr. son of John Robert and Kathryn McNeal Hargrave Sr. married in NC to Nancy Jane Talburt daughter of Frederick Benton and Elizabeth Wilhite Talburt. This couple soon followed the Talburt family to the AR territory.

His father, John Robert Hargrave, Sr., Revolutionary War patriot #S37978came to AR to visit and was counted for the 1830 AR census as a member of the John Robert Hargrave Jr. household. An Arkansas history publication Pioneers and Makers of Arkansas by Josiah Hazen Shinn stated that John Robert Hargrave Sr. was in his 80s and second oldest man in the AR territory at that date.

John and Nancy had a family of nine children all living and dying in the Izard, Baxter, Marion counties areas of AR.

No burial site has been established for Nancy Jane Talburt Hargrave. She died 15 Nov 1879 in Mr. Home, Baxter Co., AR and since the Messick-Young Cemetery is located in Mt. Home, perhaps she is also buried in this same cemetery along side her husband.

This burial record is noted in the publication "Of Grave Importance: The cemeteries of Baxter County" by Baxter County Historical Society 1994. page 275.

Son, John Robert Hargrave, b. 1827 died 12 Mar 1845 in Mt. Home, AR so he is probably buried in one of the many unmarked gravesites where his parents are buried, Messick-Young Cemetery in Mt. Home, Arkansas or possibley the Conley Cemetery where many other Hargrave family members are also buried.
