MELVIN DWAYNE MORGAN was the youngest child of twelve children born to John Roland Morgan and Lillie Viola Cook.

He was born on July 25, 1935 in Jerome County, Jerome, Idaho.

He married first to Sue Ann Lukehart Needles on July 23, 1966 and to this blessed marriage were born two children. Kevin and Angie Morgan.

His last marriage was to Margarete Lou (Wood)in Tucson, Arizonia. To this marriage no children were born.

Melvin passed away August 11, 2010 in Lane County, Springfield, Oregon.

CRESWELL — The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cottage Grove, for Melvin D. "Mel" Morgan of Creswell, who died Aug. 11 of complications of cancer. He was 75.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, and burial at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery will follow the service.

Morgan was born July 25, 1935, in Jerome, Idaho, to John and Lillie Cook Morgan. He married Margaret "Lou" Wood on June 7, 1983, in Tucson, Ariz.

He graduated from Jerome High School and attended accounting classes at Brigham Young University. He served in the National Guard and worked for H&R Block in Tucson. He was a public bus driver for 36 years in Seattle, Tucson and for the Lane Transit District.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Kevin Morgan of Idaho City, Justin, Devin and Jeffery Morgan, all of Creswell, and Steve Needles of Boise; four daughters, Angela Hellickson of Boise, Arlene Brown and Joanne Jones, both of Springfield, and Kerry Kiefer of Portland; a sister, Geraldine Johnston of Nashville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Stephaine Phillips, died in 2009. A grandson, Ricky Stanger, died in 2008. A granddaughter, Cassie Morgan, died in 1995.
