The future bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin E. Fear of Dowling Boulevard, San Leandro. She will be attended by Allis Marie Bachan, of San Mateo, her sorority sister at San Jose State, who will be maid of honor, and a bridesmaid, Ann Griffith Register, U. C. alumna, of San Leandro.
Jerrold L. Fear, brother of the bride, will be best man, and the ushers, Rodger E. Fear, another brother, and Russell H. Smith of San Leandro.
The reception will take place in Alta Mira Clubhouse.
Mr. Adam was graduated from Dartmouth College, Class of 1945. He served in the U. S. Army.

Funeral service will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette at noon on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Viewing and visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to noon.

Laurie Adam died March 25, 2005 at the age of 82. Born in Hardin, MT, Laurie was raised and lived in Contra Costa County for over 40 years. A graduate of San Leandro HS and San Jose State University, Laurie retired in 1986 from a career in accounting for over 30 years. Laurie was an officer in the Aquabears Swin Club, Secretary of the Pacific Association of AAU Swimming and Honorary Sergeant at Arms at the 1956 Republican Convention. During retirement, she served on the Contra Costa County Grandjury and was a volunteer at Kaiser Hospital. Laurie is survived by her husband of 53 years, William; by her children, Nancy Adam and Bruce Adam; by her daughter-in-law, Maria Tomes; by her grandchildren, Julianna and Oliva Drambarean. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Salvation Army, 525 E. 18th St., Antioch, CA.

Feb. 10, 2021: After 2 inquiries with Oakmont staff, they said there is no Laura Adam nor Laura Fear interred in their cemetery, and that her cremains may have been taken elsewhere. (Luddy)
