Arvilla Eldridge Baker was born July 9, 1822, in Wyoming county, New York. On June 16, 1842 she was married to William Mason Brezee and in 1844 they moved to Illinois. In 1881 they came to Nebraska, living in the western part of the state until 1895, since which time, Brownville has been their home. Ten children were born to them, of which three are living, two sons and a daughter, who together with an aged husband mourn her death.
