Old Soldier Receives Last Summons at Home in Brownville-
Company E. 47th Ill. Vol. Inf.
William Mason Brezee died at the home of his youngest son, George, living in the northeastern part of Brownville, Sunday at 12:30 o'clock. He was 86 years of age and a member of Company E. 47th Ill. Vol. Inf., in which he served three years. His wife died on the 18th day of March, 1903. They were parents of three children, Chester, Mrs. Julia Proper of Rock Island, Illinois, and George of Brownville, with whom his father had lived since the death of his wife. His funeral was conducted at the Christian church with attendance of the G.A.R. and W.R.C. who were in charge services at the grave and of the burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
