He most often went by his middle name, to prevent confusion with his father who was also named William H. Albright.

His mother was "LISSIE" HOBACK, born ca. 1863, who married W. H. ALBRIGHT on 27 May 1886, in Malvern, Hot Springs County, Arkansas. The certificate of marriage shows W.H. Albright was 37 at the time of the marriage which translates into a birth year of about 1849. This corresponds to the actual birth year of William Henry Albright, Sr. FHL Film Number: 1011251 ... According to Harry's marriage record, his mother's name was Minerva Hoback, who was born in Indiana. She is also found in the Worth Twp., Boone Co., Indiana, 1880 census, living in the household of Ezekiel Dye.

Harry's 1900 & 1910 census enumerations have him born in Oklahoma and his profession was "stenographer". He was "single" living by himself in Pulaski County, Arkansas census enumerated May 1910. In the July 1910 Pierce County, Washington census he is found living with his father in Tacoma, and he is working in "Dunns office", as this seems to be the same company he was working for after he moved to San Francisco.

Harry married CORA L. SWAIM in Spokane, Washington, on 6 Aug 1911. Her parents were GOODRUM SWAIM (1858-1892) & CHARITY ROXIE EAGLE (1863- ____), both born in Arkansas. Cora's residence at the time of marriage is listed as Little Rock, Arkansas. According to the Lonoke Co., Arkansas 1900 census, Cora's birth was in Jan 1890, and her siblings were Roxie (1885-1984) and Goodrum Jr. (1890-1975). ____________________________________________________________

Harry's WWI draft registration (5 Jun 1917) has him born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and he was a "reporter" working for R.G. Dunn & Company in San Francisco, and was living in Oakland, as married.

An online record was found that enumerated the WWI/1918 Spanish Flu deaths of Military personnel. In San Francisco, the Spanish Flu death toll reached 3500, of which Harry was one. At the time of his death, Harry was a Third Class Yeoman with the U.S. Naval Reserve Force.

Military Records:

California Death Index: William H. Albright; age 28; died Oct 27 1918; county #90/San Francisco / cert 39721; Initials of Spouse / C.L.

Cora is still living in San Francisco, in 1920, working as a "sales lady". The 1920 census also states she was widowed, was born in Arkansas, as were her parents and that Cora was born about 1891. Mrs. Cora L. Albright is also shown in the 1922, 1923 & 1925 San Francisco City Directories.

According to his wife's funeral home record, Cora's middle name was "Lee" and she later remarried to John Parfitt, born in England, about 1874. Cora is interned with her 2nd husband John, at the Alta Vista Cemetery in Palo Alto, CA.

There appear to be no records indicating Harry and Cora had any children together.
