William Harry Albright of San Francisco was informant for d/c.
Buried 5 Jan 1916.William Henry Albright, the son of John and Hannah Albright, was christened on February 24, 1850, at the Follmers Evangelical Church in Turbot Twp., Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania. In the Albright Bible record, William is the only offspring of John and Hannah, where his death date is not mentioned.

William is living with his brother, John Samuel Albright, in the 1880 census in Sabula, Jackson County, Iowa. There is no known marriage or death record for him in Iowa, or in any other locale prior to 1880, as he is listed in that year's census as "single".

In the 1900 census in Hill Twp., Pulaski Co., Arkansas, William Albright, a widow, is living with his son Harry, as "boarders". Three clues from this 1900 enumeration highly suggest this is the son of John and Hannah Albright:

1) He and both of his parents are shown born in Pennsylvania.
2) His birthdate is shown as February, 1849. There are no other individuals by the name of William Albright, with this month and year of a birth date in the 1900 census, in the entire country.
3) His occupation is shown as "carpenter" as it was also stated in his 1880 census enumeration.

The son listed with him as Harry, is also a fairly common name for this Albright family's male offspring. Harry's birth date is listed as July of 1890, in the 1900 census. In the 1910 census for the same district, Harry is living without his father, William.

In the Arkansas 1900 and 1910 census, Harry's birthplace is listed as Oklahoma, and in the 1910 census his occupation is listed as "stenographer". Harry also appears in the WWI draft registration, living in Oakland, California, working as a "reporter" for the R.G. Dun & Company in San Francisco, married to unknown. On this draft registration, his full name appears as William Harry Albright, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a birthdate of July 10, 1890, coinciding with his 1900 census enumeration birth month/year and place of birth.

A "William H. Albright" is listed in "Smiths First Directory of the Oklahoma Territory" on page S226h, which is likely another individual of the same name that died in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma territory had it's first census taken in 1890. William or Harry do not appear in it. It's possible that Harry's mother either died in Oklahoma or in Arkansas prior to the taking of the 1900 census, neither of which has been discovered. It's possible that William Henry Albright and his wife traveled to Oklahoma, some time around 1889 to participate in the "Land Run of 1889" in Oklahoma.

According to the Washington State 1910 census that was taken in July, both William and his son "Harry", show up living in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. So apparently, since the 1910 census in Pulaski County, Arkansas, where William H. Albright, Jr. aka "Harry" was living in May of 1910, William the Junior moved to Washington, right after the Arkansas census was taken and he was counted twice in the 1910 census. Everything (birthdates & places and occupations) in the 1910 Washington census matches up correctly with all previously known information for both William the Senior and William the Junior, aka "Harry".

William Albright's Arkansas marriage record indicates W. H. Albright married LESSIE/LIZZIE HOBACK on May 27, 1886, in Hot Springs County, Arkansas. The certificate of marriage shows his correct age at the time (37) as well as indicating Lizzie's age of 23 (born about 1863).

The marriage record for William's son "Harry" states his mother's name as MINERVA HOBACK, born in Indiana as does the 1910 census in Washington State, stating her birth place as Indiana.

The 1870 census of Worth Twp., Boone Co., Indiana, lists Liza Hoback in the household of her father, MICHAEL HOBACK, born about 1804 in Kentucky. Lizzie's mother is not listed but sister Nancy is listed with her, birth year about 1851. In this census, Liza Hoback is listed with a birth year of about 1861, in Indiana.

The 1880 census of Worth Twp., Boone Co., Indiana, lists Lizzie Hoback (born in Indiana) in the Ezekiel Dye household as "step-daughter-in-law" (sic step-sister-in-law) where she is age 18, corresponding to a birth year of about 1862. Nancy Marguerite Dye (FAG# 44472823) is listed as the wife of Ezekiel, born about 1852. Lizzie's parents are listed as being born in Kentucky.

The Indiana marriage records indicate that Michael Hoback was married on March 9, 1849 in Marion, Indiana, to MARY ANN GIVENS (Lizzie's mother - FAG# 34246828). It appears that Michael first married about 1832 to Josephine Burcham.
