Emma Barnett, age 88, of Taylor, Michigan, formerly of Batesville, died Friday, July 23, 2010 in Taylor. She was born October 24, 1921 in Batesville, Arkansas and was the daughter of William F. and Elizabeth (Halsey) Goodwin.

Emma was the dear mother of Sarah Hill and her husband, Carlton and Lynda Farrell and her husband, Gerry; loving grandmother of Rebecca Basley and her husband, Todd; Laurie Hutchinson and her husband, John; and Anié Farrell; loved sister of Nina Sprick; and she is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the service will be on Saturday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. all at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, Taylor Chapel at 9800 S. Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI 48180.

Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville, Arkansas will conduct graveside services at Weaver's Chapel Cemetery, north of Batesville, Arkansas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 with Orville Berg officiating.

TAYLOR, Mich. — Emma Barnett, 88, of Taylor, Mich., formerly of Batesville, died Friday, July 23, 2010, in Taylor.

Born Oct. 24, 1921, in Batesville, she was the daughter of William F. and Elizabeth Halsey Goodwin.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Hill and Lynda Farrell; three grandchildren, Rebecca Basley, Laurie Hutchinson and Anié Farrell; a sister, Nina Sprick; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, Taylor Chapel, located at 9800 South Telegraph Road in Taylor.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Weaver's Chapel Cemetery north of Batesville with Orville Berg officiating. Local arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home.
