He was born January 26, 1917 in Meta, Missouri, the son of P.C. Barnett and Sarah Knatcal Barnett.
He retired from General Motors after 30 years employment. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Barnett of the home; daughters Sarah Hill of Taylor, Michigan and Linda Farrell of Ellicott City, Maryland; brothers, Floyd Barnett of Batesville and Lloyd Barnett of Dermott, Arkansas; sisters, Sylvia McVay of Sun City, Arizona and Jean Erickson of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Rebecca Basley, Laurie Hutchison, Anie Farrell; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Barnett.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Weaver's Chapel Cemetery with Orville Berg officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM until Noon Monday at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Weaver's Chapel Cemetery, North of Batesville
