Eldest daughter of the late Haakon M. Evelyn L. Smith Hove, she married Ronald "Babby" Gilbertson on February 21, 1959, at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church. She was survived by her husband; two daughters, Rita Oleson (Lyle) and Shirley Qualley (Tom); and an extended family of relatives including grandchildren; one sister, Luella Larson (Dennis); three brothers, Melvin Hove (Donna) Lyle Hove (Ilene) and Leland Hove; and a brother-in-law, Hene Ritterman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Janette Ritterman, and a great-grandson, Jackson Miller. Her funeral was held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tioga, where she was an active member, on July 17, 2010.
