Lashelle Powell, 26, of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 near Red Boiling Springs. The Sumner County, Tennessee native was a 1997 graduate of Macon County High School, a graduate of Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, and a bookkeeper for Tony Ferguson. On January 9, 1999 she was united in marriage to Joel Powell.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Powell; a son, Lucas Cook, both of Red Boiling Springs, TN; parents, Terry and Connie Cook; Barbara and Danny Evetts; grandmothers, Mildred Cook, Annie Mae Gunter, Corene Evetts, and Flossie Harp, all of Lafayette, TN; 2 brothers, Dustin Cook and Toy Wix, both of Lafayette, TN; 3 sisters, Kellie Martin, Columbus, GA; Christy Wix, Denver, Colorado; and Stephanie Duncan, Lafayette, TN; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Rita Powell, Red Boiling Springs, TN.
Funeral services for Lashelle Powell will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Terry Austin and Eld. Brad Carver officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
