FRANCES SCHMIDT BERRY "TUDIE" (87) died Saturday, June 12, 2010. Preceded in death by her husband W.L. Berry; parents, Joel and Martha Schmidt; sisters, Laura Eaves and Irene Loewen; brothers Louis Schmidt and Ervin "Buddy" Schmidt. Tudie is survived by two sisters, Ruby Kowis and Ramona Bang; one child, Carolyn Joyce and husband Billy G. Gasper; two grandsons, W. L. Gasper and wife Candy, Shane A. Gasper and wife Charlotte; 3 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She has been a member of St. John Lutheran Church for many years. She graduated from Cypress-Fairbanks High School in 1941 and lived in the community all her life. She retired in 1993 after 35 years with Harris County Farm Bureau. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In place of remembrances the family request memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund or Christ United Church Women's Guild Cypress.
