RUBY (SCHMIDT) KOWIS, 84, died Monday, August 9, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Kowis; parents, Joel and Martha Schmidt; sisters, Laura Eaves, Irene Loewen, Frances (Tudie) Berry and Ramona (Monie) Bang; brothers, Louis Schmidt and Ervin (Buddy) Schmidt. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Verla Luedke and husband, Bobby; her sons, James Kowis and wife Dabney, Tommy Kowis and Gary Kowis; grandchildren, Robert Luedke, Joshua Kowis and wife, Alyssa, Adam Kowis and Laura Kowis; one great grandson, Logan Luedke; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Klein Funeral Home Tomball. Interment will follow in Klein Memorial Park SH 249. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Altar Rosary Society, 1111 S. Cherry Street, Tomball, Texas 77375.
