Charles Edward Anderson, 91, died Dec. 3, 2003 at his home southwest of Snyder. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at the first Baptist Church, Snyder with the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Rogers Cemetery southwest of Snyder. Arrangements are with Preston-Leckie Funeral Home.

He was born to Lewis and Massie Miller Anderson on Nov. 30, 1912 in Alvord, Texas. He married Geraldine Beason on Sept. 4, 1936 in Altus. He was a farmer and rancher during his lifetime and was a long time member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher, deacon and superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife; sons and daughters-in law Jimmie and Dixie Anderson of Altus, Charles Dewayne Anderson and Mary of Snyder and Don of Snyder; daughter Barbara of Snyder; grandsons Eddie, Marlon and Jeromie of Snyder and Chad of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter Tammie Crowder of Bartlesville, Karen Igo of Snyder and Dana Souza of Pfafftown, N.C.; great grandchildren Misty, Nicholas, Nathan Igo and Blaine Anderson of Snyder, Sara Smith of Lawton, Matthew Maretich and Alexa and Jacob Souza of Pfafftown, N.C.; and great great granddaughters Taylor Lewis-Igo and Marley Dee Anderson of Snyder.
