West Point-Nellie Mai Baswell,83,died Monday,Aug.28,2006,at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Aug. 28,1923,in Webster County. She was the retired officer manager for Knickerbocker and Big Yank Co. She was a member of the West Point Church of God.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Stockton officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister,Christine Towery of West Point, one nephew,Paul Ray of West Point, four nieces,Helen Murray of Montpelier, Rachel Williams of West Point, Brenda Brown of Greenville and Barbara Burns of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her husbanfd, James Baswell, and her parents,Salina Elizabeth Sanderson and John Louis Burton Sr.
Pallbearers will be Matt Bryan,Randy Williams,Ray Murray,Mark Murray,Jerry Brown and Reid Golding.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,1800 W. Main St., No 1, Tupelo, Ms. 38801.
