Dorothy M. (Fake) Boyer Black, 81, died Monday November 11, 2002, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Black with whom she was married for 43 years. Born April 26, 1921 in York, a daughter of the late Claude E. and Elizabeth (Stengle) Fake, she was a 1939 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and retired from Peoples Laundry in 1983 following 25 years of service. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist church. Mrs. Black is survived by a son, Raymond W.Boyer of York, three daughters, Jeanne A. Noll, Sally Boyer and Bonnie L. Reese, all of York. 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Eisenhour of Weigelstown; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with her pastor, Rev. Norman E. Spangler, officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewings will be from 7 to 9 pm Wednesday and 9 to 10 am Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc.
