Born February 18, 1924, in York, she was a daughter of the late Claude E. and Elizabeth A. (Stengle) Fake.
Esther was a 1942 graduate of York High School. She was a member of New Creation Community Church in Dover and Heritage Senior Center in Dover, and a former member of Union Fire & Hose Co. #1 of Dover Ladies Auxiliary. Esther was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.
Esther is survived by her children, Richard A. Eisenhour, Jr., husband of the late Linda, of Dover, Lorrie A. Paules and husband, John, of Wrightsville, and Claudia J. Shermeyer and husband, Keith, of Dover; four grandchildren, Eric J. Paules, Richard A. Eisenhour, Celia J. Shermeyer and Kimber J. Hofmann; and four great grandchildren, Ashton Paules, Drew Paules, Alexander Eisenhour and Chase Eisenhour. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Eisenhour, four brothers and a sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Esther's funeral at 10:30 a.m. and the visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at New Creation Community Church, 3005 Emig Mill Rd., Dover.
Burial will follow in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry.
