Mrs. Brawner Dies At Bargersville
Ill for 11 weeks, Mrs. Rosie Brawner died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of her son, John C. Brawner, of Bargersville.
The body has been sent from the Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home to Oakdale, Tennessee for funeral and burial services.
Mrs. Brawner was the daughter of John and Malinda (Nethery) Kittrell and was born at Oakdale, December 8, 1872. For 58 years she had resided at Oakdale coming to Indiana 21 years ago.
She became the bride of Jerry Brawner at Moreland, Kentucky and they were the parents of five children. Mr. Brawner died July 31, 1931.
Mrs. Brawner was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church at Oakdale.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Effie Russell of Bargersville, Mrs. Dixie Hogue, of Indianapolis, two sons, Sam Brawner, of Indianapolis, and John C. Brawner.
Also remaining are eight grandchidren, two great-grandchildren, and one brother, T.J. Kittrell of Somerset, Kentucky.
