Services for Dorothy Hartin Salley, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation. Mrs. Salley, wife of the late Rex L. Salley Jr., died Sunday, December 9, 2001. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Furman Dexter Hartin Sr. and Nellie Haley Hartin. A Cadet Nurse Corps veteran of World War II, she was a registered nurse at the Columbia Hospital and worked with the Polio Foundation. Mrs. Salley was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Dale Salley of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Watson of Columbia; brother, F.D. Hartin Jr. of Columbia; grandchildren, Jason Watson, Bonnie Watson, Ben Salley and Katie Salley. © The State, Columbia, SC, 10 Dec 2001
