Mary Catherine Bone of Old Mines, was born on Sunday, September 12, 1915 in Racola, a daughter of the late Emma Louise (Daugherty) Paul and Joeffery K. Paul. Mary Catherine departed this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age on ninety-one years, six months and sixteen days.

Mary Catherine was united in marriage to Jesse Bone on November 24, 1938 in Old Mines. Mary Catherine and Jesse were blessed with eleven children.

Mary Catherine is survived by five sons, Bill Bone and wife Ruth Johnson of Farmington, Kenny Bone and wife Pat of Old Mines, Tom Bone and wife Wanda of Festus, Joe Bone and wife Joanne of Hillsboro, Paul Bone and wife Brenda of Hillsboro; six daughters, Ginny Bone of Old Mines, Nancy Politte and husband Ed of Old Mines, Janet Govero and husband Lawrence of Old Mines, Laney Portell and husband Bill of Old Mines, Trish Boyer and husband Don of Old Mines, Peg Portell and husband Ken of Old Mines; one sister, Monica Paul of Crystal City; thirty grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Bone on October 28, 1986, one sister, Loretta Edwards, three brothers, Vincent, Leroy and Kernan Paul.

Mary Catherine loved spending time with her children and especially treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime parishioner and very devoted member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, birds and cooking. In her younger years she was always planting flowers in her flowerbeds and canning fresh vegetables, she also loved to make jams and jellies. Mary Catherine also loved going on fishing vacations with her family.

Mary Catherine was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but also for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared, her deep faith and trust in God's will for her and her family.

Visitation was held Friday, March 30, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper and Father Robert Rosebrough officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Keith Bone, Danny Bone, Kyle Bone, Kraig Bone, Cody Portell, Jason Portell, Jared Portell, Dion Politte, Jeff Govero, Chris Govero, Tim Bone, Eddie J. Politte, Scott Bone, Joey Bone and honorary pallbearers, Heather Portell and Audra Boyer.

Final prayers and burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.

A luncheon was provided for family and friends after services by the Knights of Columbus, Old Mines, Missouri.

Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
