William “Bill” Bone of Farmington departed this life on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the age of 78 years and five days. He was born in Old Mines on Sunday, June 12, 1938 to the late Jesse Edward Bone and Mary Catherine (Paul) Bone.



Bill loved to feed and watch the birds & ducks. He loved animals and especially enjoyed taking care of several rescue cats. Bill loved to read and always had much to share. Generosity and kindness to all were his best qualities and he never met a stranger. He was also a great story teller and had a wonderful sense of humor. His life will forever be a wonderful blessing to his family.



Bill was united in marriage to his loving wife, Ruth Ann Johnson on December 3, 1993, in Farmington Missouri, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Scott Bone & grandson Riley, and daughter Julie Bone of Farmington. Stepchildren are Julia and husband Mark Hiott of South Carolina, Karen Johnson of South Carolina, Stuart and wife Misty Johnson of South Carolina and Steven of Missouri. Also surviving are four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Pat of Old Mines, Tom and Wanda of Festus, Joe and Joanne of Hillsboro, Paul and Brenda of Hillsboro; six sisters and brothers-in law, Ginny Bone of St. Louis, Nancy and Ed Politte of Old Mines, Janet and Lawrence Govero of Old Mines, Laney and Bill Portell of Old Mines, Trish and Don Boyer of Old Mines, and Peg and Ken Portell of Old Mines. Bill will be dearly missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren of South Carolina, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private burial will be officiated by Father Rickey Valleroy, on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Final prayers and interment of cremains will take place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines Missouri. View online obituary at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
