Pauline (Davison) Adams, age 88, of Centerville, Iowa and formerly of Plano, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of the late Edmond Davison and Dora(Andrew)Davison on July 18, 1916 in Plano, Iowa. She was a graduate of Plano High School at Plano, Iowa and received her teacher's certificate at the Iowa Teacher College in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

On May 1, 1938, she was united in marriage to John A. Adams in Centerville Iowa. Pauline taught school at the Tea Garden School, located in rural Appanoose County. She was a devout Christian, loving mother and grandmother, and a faithful friend.

Pauline was preceded in death by: her parents; husband John on July 3, 2002; brothers Don, Robert and Lawrence Davison; a sister Edith Hixenbaugh; and a granddaughter.

Pauline is survived by: sons John Adams and his wife Ferne of Osceola, Iowa and Jim Adams of Grimes, Iowa; and daughter Jane Hutchings and her husband Dan of Bloomfield, Iowa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Crossroads Cemetery in Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 1 til 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 til 8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Little Flock Chapel.
