Born July 7, 1859 in Oslo, Norway, Oline Olsen was the daughter of Greta and Martin Olsen and came to this country in 1879 to care for her brother Anthony. After his death she remained to help care for his family, met and married Ole Amble, and never returned to her home even for a visit.
To this union were born four chidren, Hilda, now Mrs. Wm. Mitchell of Gladwin, who had been called to her mother's bedside many times over the past several years to care for her in illness, and three sons Seaver, Elmer and Charles all living in Harrison.
Besides raising her own family she also adopted her brother's son, Trygve, who has made a home for her and given her years of loving care and attention. Also surviving are her brother Axel, who has made his home with her, fourteen grand children, and eleven great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death having passed on in 1905.
She has lived a life of devotion and service to her family and has been greatly loved and revered by them in return. Her generous, sympathetic, understanding personality has
always endeared her to neighbors and friends, and the wealth of flowers at her funeral bespoke the great feeling of their respect for one beloved.
For the past two years Oline Amble has lived at her home on Lake Street having sold the farm home to be nearer her sons in town. She passed from this life September 26th, 1947, following a heart attack and illness of one week.
Funeral services were held at the Charles A. Amble home, Rev. Herbert Storey officiating, and burial was made at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
