Mrs. Hilda G Mitchell, 89, of 216 West Indian, died at 12:30 pm Thursday at Midland Hospital.
A Midland resident since 1955, the former Hilda G. Amble was born in Muskegon Oct. 8, 1883. She moved to Dodge Lake in the Harrison area as a child and later to Gladwin. She married William Mitchell in Harrison. He died Feb. 17, 1955.
She is survived by one son, Charles W. Mitchell of Sanford, two daughters, Mrs. Viola Young and Mrs. Herman (Alma) Johnson, both of Midland; two brothers, Charles and Trygve Amble, both of Harrison; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Monday from the Ware-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. S. Joe Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison cemetery.
