Herman A. Riney, 66, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of St. Patrick, died at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday (June 18, 1980) at the Veterans Hospital in Lexington. He was born on Jan. 9, 1914, in St. Patrick, a son of Walter and Mary Ellen Marcus Riney. He was retired from the Army and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Litcfield, Ky. Surviving are two brothers, Bernard of Keokuk, Iowa, and Charles of Sutter, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Winters of Kahoka, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home in Kahoka, conducted by the Rev. Patrick McMyler. Burial will be in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
